This year for international racing it's sprint racing the first half, and forest formats the second.

The World Championships are in the sprint disciplines in 2026, in Genoa in July. People will no doubt be looking back at the World Cup Round there in 2024.

Our News Report on Genoa 2024.

The European Champs are in Lithuanian forests in September.

World Cup

WorldCup2026

Last year's World Cup finished in Switzerland; this year's starts there in late April. Then it's on to Sweden, both these rounds being sprint.

The Sprint World Champs in Italy come next, with races 7th -11th July.

Then it's time for the forest, with rounds in Czechia and Lithuania. The latter are the European Championships.

Selection Races

The selection document outlines which prior year results are a factor, and other criteria. The main selection races that we expect nearly all athletes to be aiming for are the JK Sprint (for the first two World Cup rounds in the sprint disciplines) and the JK Middle and Long (for the second half of the year forest formats.) There are also special selection races planned for June (early June for sprint prior to World Champs selections, late June for the Czech World Cup forest races) and then in August for the Europeans.
